OUR MINISTRIES

Church, Community, Around The World
  • Church Choir – The church choir performs during Worship Services and at other special events, including community hymn sings. Practices are held in the church sanctuary on Tuesday at 7:00, while the choir is in session. Along with this, those with musical talents are encouraged to share special music during the Worship Service.
  • Junior Church & Nursery – Worried about bringing children to our Worship Service? Don’t be! We view the young as the life of our church, and love knowing that children are attending our Sunday School and Worship Services. We welcome children to stay in the sanctuary as part of our Worship Services. However, if you desire, you may send your newborn to three year old child to our staffed Nursery during the Worship service. Children from age 4 through third grade are invited (but not required) to be dismissed midway through the Worship Service for “Junior Church.” During Junior Church, children receive a snack and are taught a Bible lesson that is designed for their age level.
  • Blessing Kids Project – A community based ministry for the purpose of providing bags of food for the needy children in Union School District. Click here for more information.
  • Country Springs Visitation – Once per month, the congregation of the Methodist Church organizes a trip to Country Springs Personal Care Home. Church members join the residents for dinner and then provide entertainment for the residents.
  • Celebrate Recovery – Dealing with a hurt, habit, or hang-up? Celebrate Recovery is a program designed for people who desire freedom from their hurts, habits and hang-ups. It meets in the church basement at 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday.
  • Mission Teams – Mission teams organize on a regular basis to take the love and Word of God to places across the county, the state, the country, and the world. Past work mission trips have taken our members to Kentucky, Washington, DC, New Jersey, Ohio, Louisiana, Arizona, and North Carolina, and even a few to Nicaragua. Each December, a group travels to Charlotte, North Carolina, to help the Samaritan’s Purse ministry of Operation Christmas Child.
  • King’s Kids – An after-school program for students in the sixth grade and below, King’s Kids is held most Thursday afternoons during the school year. Students from Union’s Elementary Schools may choose to come to this after-school program in which they learn a Bible Story, make a craft, have recreation time, enjoy a snack, and sing songs. Students are grouped by grade level and multiple adult and teenage volunteers are there to help whenever needed. With an attendance of over 100 students, King’s Kids remains a vital part of not only the Rimersburg Methodist Church, but also of the Rimersburg community.
  • United Methodist Women
  • Quilters
  • Bible Studies – A variety of Bible Studies are offered during the week to help encourage you in your study of God’s Word. See the Calendar for more to find out which Bible Study is best for you!
  • Prison Ministry
